Speedgrip Finger Chuck
- Distortion free / reduced workholding solution
- Merges diaphragm one piece flex plate concentricity and repeatability with collet-style individual fingers
- Fingers grip 360 degrees with contour compensation
- Uses: turning / lathes
- Conforms to part shape to remove or reduce distortion for subsequent operations
Speedgrip Diaphragm Chucks
- Grip internally or externally by flexing action of a one piece basic plate with excellent hold and extreme accuracy
- Diaphragm spread open or closed, ground for part size; return spring action creates grip force with excellent concentricity and repeatability
- Designed with a flex point and controlled travel for excellent longevity
- Grip force can be light or powerful, assisted by springs or drawbar/tube; released by return springs or drawbar/tube action
- One piece construction for a specific part, or designed with interchangeable pads or inserts for various diameters
- Machined with 3, 4, 6, 8, or 12 jaws for good chip escape with accuracy many times greater than a conventional 3 jaw chuck
- Flexing action conforms somewhat to part shape to minimize chucking pressure and reduce part distortion
Applications
- Uses: turning, drilling/milling, balancing, gear machining, grinding, inspection, and fixtures
- Accuracy .0002-.005 T.I.R. typical for diaphragm applications
- Excellent chip clearance
- Adapt to most machines using available actuation or built-in actuation
- Actuation available: manual, drawbar/tube, and built-in cylinder as required
